…If there are no prayers that put your head between your knees. If there are no prayers that break your soul into many pieces and make you wail in tears with phlegm from your nose. If there are no such things going in your life as though a flood of the Spirit is ravaging your entire Spirit causing you to come humbly before God and you finally agree with Him what He wants to do with you, baby there is NO moving forward ooo…   DDK #WarriorInHeels

#PropheticMotherhood… What DDK said

Motherhood is no child’s play, it is serious business.

The F.A.B. Sister's Blog

God has blown me away in recent times. I woke early Sunday morning and as I thought about the previous week and all that had happened to and with me, God used a Twitter scenario to drive it home…

IMG_20160419_041051

So I was having this convo with Kuchi and QYM on Twitter and I said #GroupHug as I ended the convo. Kachi, a friend from Uni who runs this AWESOME blog http://www.kacheetee.com had sort of been entering my lane recently, jumps into the Twitter trail and says she’s forcing herself right into the hug. And instantly, my spirit opened up to receive her into the hug. If it was real life, I would have eased her right into it without her having to force.

And God told me that He was just opening Himself up more to me because I had jumped right into the middle of what He’s doing in…

#DearMary, you teach me to make time with God my greatest priority.

Our work for God can only matter, when our walk with Him is intact!

#dearbiblepeople

maRY..

The story of Mary and Martha is quite an interesting one. Jesus was in town and Martha invited Him over to her house. I can imagine how Martha would have felt that day, having God in the flesh in her home. All her culinary skills would have come alive immediately and thoughts of how to ensure Jesus had a good time would have filled her head. So naturally, she busied herself doing what she thought was vital and was angry with her sister, Mary, who did not lend a hand.

Jesus’ words to her were poignant and insightful. ‘Martha, you worry too much. Only one thing is needed and Mary has chosen it and no one can take it from her.’

Read the story in Luke 10:38-42

How often do we neglect our quiet time with God for busy work at church? Do we keep running around even when the…

#DearJephthah, you teach me to keep my promises.

Dear Jephthah, you inspire me!

#dearbiblepeople

jepthah

I know very well how easy it is to make a vow and how difficult it can get to settle it.

Jephthah was a warrior in his day. He was faced with a battle and he knew he could not win all by himself so he turned to God and made a vow.

Read Judges 11 for Jephthah’s story.

Jephthah basically promised to give to the Lord whatever the first thing was that came out of his house to meet him if he was victorious in battle and got back home in peace. What an unusual vow you might say. It sounds simple enough, however, until you hear what ‘whatever’ turned out to be.

Sure enough, he came home victorious but guess who came out dancing when daddy returned home? His daughter! His only child! Jephthah was heartbroken when he saw her but he knew he had made a vow…

#DearMathew, you were called just as we are…

Herein lies the ultimate fulfillment; to simply follow, wherever He may lead.

#dearbiblepeople

mathew

The call is always simple. Jesus called his disciples in such an unceremonious way. He simply said ‘Follow me’.

I believe it is just as simple today. However, it gets hard when we’re struggling to stay still long enough to know when we are being called and what we are being called to. It is hard because we want to know without a shadow of doubt that we heard what we thought we heard. So what happens when we are convinced that we have been called to something? What happens when we know deep in our hearts that God has an assignment for us?

I believe this is where the struggle begins. Will we obey? Will we leave everything else behind if we are required to?

Will we look for the approval of others to be sure we’re doing the right thing? Will we let the judgement and opinions of others slows us…

#DearP31Woman, His grace is sufficient…

Rest, God’s got you!

#dearbiblepeople

virtue

Have you ever read Proverbs 31 and thought “What is she? Superwoman?” I’m guilty too.

When we read about the Proverbs 31 woman and compare her life and the things she accomplishes to our own struggles and fumblings, we just might get discouraged. After all, we try to do it all and sometimes we don’t get it right and some things fall through the cracks.

For me, 2 Corinthians 12:9 makes all my fears go away. I think of my weaknesses and shortcomings and I see what God meant when He said His strength is made perfect in my weakness. When I lean on Him, I receive grace for every difficult task. Being a daughter, wife, friend and more is not a function of how perfect or put together I am. It is such a relief to know that He can deal with my mess. I’m not disqualified just because…

RELIGION AS I SEE IT #30DaysOfNovember

Beyond religion awaits a relationship that will change your entire life!

Lordjoshwrites.com LIVE on 1/12/2015!

By Joshua Olanrewaju

Ever imagined what the heavenly choir of angels sound like? Read the lyrics below and see if it’s something they could sing.

Holy Holy Holy, Lord God almighty

Heaven is your throne, the earth is full of your glory

The blessing, the honour, the power belongs to you

There is nothing impossible for you to do.

Now instead of singing, try and imagine that the angels rapped it (you know rap – like Jay Z and Eminem). Ha, gotcha! You most likely thought, ‘no way, they can’t be rapping in heaven.’

Have you ever imagined if Jesus was on the earth right now and he was a teenager, do you think he might have worn a pair of Adidas sneakers, a pair of denim pants/trousers and a snapback? It’s difficult to imagine, yeah?

If you were a pastor, would you encourage your members to do a study…
