All Will Be Well!

January, being the first month of the year is a pretty demanding month. After the christmas holidays, we resume back at work, pay school fees, have resolutions for the new year (whether we stick by them or not is a different case entirely), we pray, fast, do everything we can to make the year a good one. Virtually all churches are having one programme or the other right now, some are praying, others are fasting, some are sowing seeds and for some others, it’s a combination of all these.
Today is the last Sunday in January, and I’m here to tell you that as long as you have done what should be done, all will be well, as long has you have taken it upon yourself to sow, you’ll reap bountifully. The hymn for today is a popular one, please sing along or just follow the lyrics.

ALL WILL BE WELL

Through the love of God our saviour,
All will be well;
Free and changeless is His favour,
All, all is well.
Precious is the blood that healed us;
Perfect is the grace that sealed us;
Strong the hand stretched forth to shield us;
All must be well.

Though we pass through tribulations,
All will be well;
Christ hath purchased full salvation,
All, all is well.
Happy still in God confiding;
Fruitful, if in Christ abiding;
Holy, through the Spirit’s guiding;
All must be well.

We expect a bright tomorrow;
All will be well;
Faith can sing through days of sorrow,
All, all is well.
On our Father’s love relying,
Jesus every need supplying,
Then in living or in dying,
All must be well.

Only through the love of God our Saviour can all be well. If we don’t have his love in our hearts, how then can all be well?

Regardless of what we are going through now, all will be well. “..but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”- Romans 5:3-4

We expect a bright tomorrow, with Christ in us, we hope for a bright tomorrow. “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which was given to us.” Romans 5:6
As long as we rely on our Father’s love, Jesus will supply our every need and then in living or in dying, we’ll say boldly,
ALL MUST BE WELL. “..but if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.”-Romans 8:25

“Now, may the God of hope fill you with all the joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”- Romans 15:13

ALL WILL BE WELL!!!

Have a great week.

Happily Ever After…

Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.

A good marriage must be created.

In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things…

It is never being too old to hold hands.

It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.

It is never going to sleep angry.

It is at no time taking the other for granted;

The courtship shouldn’t end with the honeymoon,

It should continue through all the years.

It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives;

It is standing together, facing the world.

It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.

It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.

It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.

It is not expecting the husband to wear a halo or the wife to have the wings of an angel.

It is not looking for perfection in each other.

It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humour.

It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.

It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.

It is finding room for things of the Spirit.

It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.

It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, the dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal.

It is not marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner…

Culled.

Waiting and Watching.

Hello People,

Happy Sunday to y’all, trust you had a great time in His presence today, i certainly did.
So, here comes the hymn for today, it is a popular one. Don’t just sing along, ponder on the lyrics and make changes/adjustments where need be.

When Jesus Comes

When Jesus comes to reward His servants,
Whether it be noon or night,
Faithful to Him will He find us watching,
With our lambs all trimmed and bright?

Oh, can we say we are ready, brother?
Ready for the soul’s bright home?
Say, will He find you and me still watching,
Waiting, waiting when the Lord shall come?

If at the dawn of the early morning,
He shall call us one by one,
When to the Lord we restore our talents,
Will He answer thee, “well done”?

Oh, can we say we are ready, brother?
Ready for the soul’s bright home?
Say will He find you and me still watching,
Waiting, waiting when the Lord shall come?

Have we been true to the trust He left us?
Do we seek to do our best?
If in our hearts, there is naught condemns us,
We shall have a glorious rest.

Oh, can we say we are ready brother?
Ready for the soul’s bright home?
Say, will He find you and me still watching,
Waiting, waiting when the Lord shall come?

Blessed are those whom the Lord finds watching,
In His glory they shall share
If He shall come at the dawn or midnight,
Will He find us watching there?

Oh, can we say we are ready, brother?
Ready for the soul’s bright home?
Say, will He find you and me still watching,
Waiting, waiting when the Lord shall come.

“…When to the Lord we restore our talents, will He answer thee well done?”

Will He look at us and thank us for investing or will he call us wicked servants?

“Have we been true to the trust He left us? Do we seek to do our best?”

Now it is required, that those who have been given a trust MUST prove faithful!
Do we do His work with everything within us, or do we do it whenever it’s convenient? We can have a glorious rest, only if our heart does not condemn us!

Whenever He decides to come, will He find us watching? Will we be as the wise virgins or the foolish ones?

Meditate on these things!

Have a wonderful week.

HOLD THE FORT…

Hi everyone, trust today’s service was super.
This post is a short one, I will be posting something like this every sunday and I’ve decided to tag it Songs $ Hymns. So here’s the deal, I will write a song I really like, and my thoughts on it and the good part is you can send me a song or hymn as well, that you really like and trust me, it’ll be here. Deal? Leggo!!

So the song for today, a hymn actually is titled, ‘Ho! My Comrades, see the signal’ but I decided to give it ‘Hold the fort’ after all, it’s my blog right? Loool! More importantly, I gave it that title because it inspired this post. For those who do not know the hymn, here it is, you can read the lyrics, for those who know it, please sing along. For those who think hymns are just too boring, ah, I say you are missing out on so much manna o, hymns take the message straight home. Anyone can pray amiss o, but to sing amiss?? No way! Whatever you do, please let this speak to you.

HO! MY COMRADES, SEE THE SIGNAL

Ho, my comrades! See the signal waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing, victory is nigh!

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to heaven, “By thy grace we will.”

See the mighty host advancing, satan leading on;
Mighty ones around us falling, courage almost gone!

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to heaven, “By thy grace we will.”

See the glorious banner waving! Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s name we’ll triumph over ev’ry foe.

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to heaven, “By thy grace we will.”

Fierce and long the battle rages, but our help is near;
Onward comes our great commander, cheer, my comrades, cheer!

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to heaven, “By thy grace we will.”

Here is the conclusion of the whole matter, the night is darkest when it’s almost dawn, victory is nigh, now is not the time to give up!
Jesus is calling out to you today, do not give up! hold the fort, for He is coming! In His name alone, we will triumph over all foes! People are giving up every where and compromising but our help is near, therefore cheer up, by His grace, you can stand, regardless of how fierce and long the battle is!

Yes, you can!!!

Have a beautiful week.

When nothing is all you have

With big daddy, i have all i need!

The Z Channel

You are all alone in the house and are staring at the TV, not concentrating. Partly because you have watched the movie before, three times to be specific, but also because you are distracted. Something is bothering you but you can’t place a finger on it. You have been feeling this way all week.

You stand and begin to pace about the living room. The pacing calms you down, it channels some of the frustration into physical activity.

Then it hits you. It’s your life that’s the problem. The feeling underneath the restlessness is dissatisfaction. Your life is not going as planned and is riddled with failures and missed opportunities.

One thought predominates; you are not where you ought to be. The thought saddens you and your eyes sting with tears. You had your life planned out but somewhere along the line, it had veered off.

You think of all…

My Favourite Things

The Z Channel

I woke up today with the melody of “My Favourite Things” – one of the soundtracks in the classic movie sound of music playing in my head over and over.

Lying down, eyes closed and half awake, I thought about my favourite things and decided to make a list.

So, here are a few of my favourite things, in no particular order:

1. Drifting off to sleep while listening to classical music or Beyonce’s “Ave Maria” or the papas and mama’s “dream a little dream of me”

2. Twisting and gyrating with reckless abandon, when I’m alone, to a tune playing in my head.

3. Curling up on a couch with a good novel while tuning everything else out.

4. Watching the sun set from atop a mountain.

5. Capturing nature’s beauty from a mountain top with my camera lens (and then frowning at the details missing from the…
